Intimacy coordinating offers a fresh approach to crafting intimate scenes on television and film sets. Intimacy coordinators choreograph and oversee scenes involving intimacy, nudity, and simulated sex, prioritizing the safety, comfort, and well-being of the actors while maintaining professionalism and respecting boundaries. They ensure care, consent, and respect for all individuals involved. Virginija is a certified Intimacy Coordinator who, in her practice, aligns closely with directors' visions while adhering to the highest standards of intimacy coordination. She is a member of Baltic Intimacy Professionals - a network of Intimacy Professionals in the Baltic region.
What do I bring to the table as an Intimacy Coordinator ?
Helping everyone to do their best job. Having me on your team will support the cast and crew during intimate scenes and will ensure a safe and respectful environment preventing potential misconduct or harm.
Enhancing performance. Close work with actors, providing guidance and facilitating clear communication enables actors to fully immerse into their roles and therefore deliver scenes that look authentic, impactful and true to the story.
Less misunderstandings. Bringing everyone on the same page regarding creative vision, boundaries and consent can be tricky for everyone, but not to me. I’m a skilled liaison and can bring actors, directors and crew members to workflow with minimized misunderstandings and discomfort.
Saving time and resources. I practice clear communication to help establish boundaries and choreograph movements ensuring the streamlined process of shooting intimate scenes.
Audience appreciation. My work on your set will contribute to a realistic and authentic portrayals of intimate moments on screen and stage. Your audiences will appreciate the enhanced quality of your production and reinforced emotional impact that you will build by working with me.
